Jenifer Kerber

Jenifer was born in Missoula, Montana and studied under Charlene Campbell Carey at Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre School. In the summer of 2002 she joined the company on its first international tour with Tanzsommer touring five cities throughout Austria. This would be the first of many international trips with RMBT. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2009 studying dance and expanding her love for choreography and performance. She has attended summer intensives in Roma, Italy with Balletto Di Roma in 2005, Joliet Illinois with the Underground Arts Connection in 2006, Tropea, Italy with Broadway a Tropea in 2007, Bulgaria in 2011, Salzburg International Ballet Academy (SIBA) in 2013, LA Hip Hop Intensive at Debbie Allen Dance Academy in 2015, and Human Bodies at Art Garage in Pizzoli, Italy 2016. She traveled with Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre to China as a performer and assistant to artistic director Charlene Campbell in 2014 as part of a State Department Grant, in 2010 for the Shanghai World Expo and in May 2008 on a five city tour as part of the pre-Olympic ceremonies facilitated by Senator Max Baucus of the Senate Finance Committee and Chinese Ambassador Zhou Wenzhon and in 2010 through Montana's sister state of Guangxi and Shanghai for the World Expo. In the summer of 2009, she traveled to Italy and Austria assisting Charlene in workshops and in the summer of 2011 on RMBT's tour with Tanzsommer throughout Austria and continued with Charlene through Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. She has been the ballet mistress for RMBT on the Moscow Ballet performances of "The Great Russian Nutcracker", "Romeo and Juliette" and "Swan Lake".  She was part of the administrative team for the premiere of the Vienna International Ballet Experience (VIBE) in Montana January 2016 and 2017 and assisted in administration of VIBE International in Vienna March 2016 and was a guest teacher for the workshops. In February of  2017, she assisted the administrative team for the premiere of the Global Dance Challenge in Vancouver Canada where she also was a guest teacher in the workshops. In June of 2017 she taught a contemporary workshop for Dance Salida in Colorado. She accompanied students from RMBT to Portugal for the summer intensive at Annarella Academia of Ballet & Dance. Her choreography has been seen in local and international productions of Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre, Internationally at SIBA, China 2014, Italy 2016, Mexico 2017 . Dancers of RMBT competed with her choreography in VIBE USA 2016, VIBE USA 2017, VIBE International 2016, the Global Dance Challenge in Vancouver, Canada, Danza Firenze 2017 in Florence, Italy, and the premiere of Ballet Beyond Borders in January of 2018 in Missoula. “Indian Paintbrush” ranked 3rd in VIBE USA 2016 in the junior 2 age category and 3rd in Danza Firenze 2017 in the junior category.  Most recently she and most recently taught at a workshop at Esquela de Cubana de Veracruz in Veracruz, Mexico and was on the administrative team for the premiere of Ballet Beyond Borders in Missoula, MT, USA in January 2018. Ms. Kerber teaches classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, pointe and is a certified and licensed teacher in Progressing Ballet Technique, an innovate program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon.
