BBB 2026 MT Essay Contest

 This year we were inspired by a recent article in the New York Times in which the writer encouraged people to write letters to their future selves. Our essay project for BBB, January 2026, is:

Write a letter to the person you will be five years from now.

What would you like your future self to know about the person you are today? What would you explain about who you are now — what your life is like, your dreams and hopes? What would you hope your future self might learn from your words today?

This should be in letter form, dated, and begin with the salutation: Dear Future Me

Please remember to include: your name/age/and country of origin.
The essay project is the same for all ages. The limit is 500 words, which is
approximately two double-spaced pages.
