Laurie Horowitz began her career as Massachusetts lawyer, but soon moved out to California to work in the entertainment industry. She was an agent at Creative Artists Agency in Beverly Hills for eleven years where she represented the film and television rights to literary properties. She has had short fiction published in national and literary magazines and her novel THE FAMILY FORTUNE, a romantic comedy, was published by William Morrow in 2006. She wrote a thriller for Lifetime Television (first aired in 2007). She led a weekly fiction workshop at Beyond Baroque, a literary foundation in Venice, California for five years. She was Writer in Residence at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica in 2015 where she produced several community events. Her story, THE ELUSIVE ONE, was published by Hollywood Dementia.Com in December 2015. Laurie was initiated into traveling internationally with Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre in 2014 on a USA state Department tour of China acting officially as the RMBT historian and documenting the stories and experiences of the cultural exchange. She also served as a moderator, teacher and Director of the Literary & Film events during USA VIBE 2016. She currently provides consulting, writing, and editorial services for film and literary projects. She is working with James Patterson and his new Bookshots imprint at Hachette (books you can down in a shot). Her first Bookshots Flame THE MATING SEASON comes out Sept. 6, 2016 and she just finished her second.
